Airmen is a first-person ship-building and battling game set in a steampunk world where players can construct airships, landships, and watercraft from scratch. Starting with an empty hangar, players gather resources like wood, aetherium, magnesite, and more to build their ships. The core gameplay revolves around crewing your vessel either solo or alongside friends for expeditions across the Archipelago's islands. Players can engage in mining for materials, harvesting resources, raiding other players' cargo holds, or completing various quests like deliveries and hunting.

The game features a robust crafting system allowing players to build ships of varying mass, from light cargo haulers to massive combat juggernauts. Engage with the open world by forming fleets to take on powerful bosses or complete contracts for faction reputation gains. Combat involves destroying individual components such as engines and turrets to disable enemy ships completely.
