In The End Is Nigh, you play as Ash, one of the last remnants of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world. The story sets the tone: everything dies, but not you... yet. Your mission is to survive by navigating through 600+ levels across 12+ explorable chapters, collecting video game cartridges and tumors along the way. But don't get too comfortable; stress levels rise as you're pelted with decaying creatures, and your goal becomes finding a friend - or at least piecing together scraps of people to form a new bond. It's a darkly comedic adventure that balances humor and gravity, asking tough questions about existence in the face of extinction.

Gameplay is all about precision platforming, as you leap between platforms, dodges hazards, and exploits environmental quirks. Each step feels deliberate, yet fluid - you'll need to time jumps just right or suffer the consequences. But even with the constant threat of failure, there's a sense of catharsis in overcoming obstacles.
